PENGURANGAN YURAN PERKHIDMATAN UNIVERSITI

Terima kasih.

REDUCTION OF UNIVERSITY SERVICES FEE

Teaching and Learning (T&L) activities at Universiti Malaya have been conducted fully online since Semester 2, Session 2019/2020, where students are able to continue their studies without having to be physically present on campus.

In the interest of our students' welfare, the University, through the Bantuan UM Prihatin initiative has decided that a reduction of the University Services Fee of RM120.00 per semester will be given to local and international students for three (3) semesters, i.e. Semester 2, Session 2019/2020 and Semesters 1 & 2, Session 2020/2021. The services fee includes Sports and Recreation, Library, ICT and Health/Welfare.

The overall fee reduction amounts to approximately RM2.7 million for each semester, involving more than 22,000 students.

This is one of 11 initiatives under the Bantuan UM Prihatin initiative which has been in place since the implementation of the nationwide Movement Control Order (MCO) on 18 March 2020.

The University continuously prioritises the welfare of our students as we navigate the new normal in the face of these challenging times. Let us hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will come to an end soon so that our campus life may resume its normal course.

For further information on the fee reduction, kindly contact the Student & College Financial Management Division, Bursary Department at +603-7967 3289 or via email to bursar_student@um.edu.my.
